4 Things to Increase Your Conversion Rate
4 Things to Increase Your Conversion Rate
July 8th, 2019
It doesn't matter how many leads you get, if your conversion rate isn't optimized and increased you will not make a better ROI with your advertising. In this blog we talk about the 5 things you can do to increase your conversion rate and close more deals.
1. Call Every Lead Within the First 5 - 10 Minutes
The best time to call someone is RIGHT NOW. Through testing we find that calling potential customers within the first 5 - 10 minutes if them signing up for your special offer will increase your conversion rates by over 500%. Now you're probably thinking, what happens if they sign up at a time when our sales team isn't working...

That's when you have an automates email/text/message sent that says something engaging and related to the offer they have applied for. Without automating this process you will have leads die in your sleep... literally.
2. Set Up An Effective Sales Process
The biggest mistake you can make is having little to NO sales process. Most dealerships think a good sales process is ok a lead comes in we call it they don't answer that lead sucks. This isn't true at all, having an effective sales process can drastically increase your conversion rate but the most important thing is it must be SIMPLE!

If your sales process isn't simple than your sales people will not follow it. It has to be simple, not easy but must be simple (simple isn't always easy). Examples of a good sales process would be how many times do you call back? How many emails do you send? Do you send a text message to the person? Maybe you send them a gift? Maybe you invite them to an event at the dealership...

It has to be simple and it has to work. You will only be able to find out if it works from serious and honest testing of the process.
3. Ask Good Questions
Have you ever been asked a good question? My assumption is that you have, the reason I am asking that is because so many time when sales people get a lead they call and go directly into the sale. This is a very bad and pushy type approach that actually makes it very hard to close a deal.

Your sales people need to be able to ask good questions and actually get to know the customer and what they are looking for. Get your sales team to become more like investigators rather than sales people and your conversion rates will go up.

We ran a test once, one sales guy used a question the other with a pitch and going directly for the sale. The questions out preformed the pitch every time. People don't like to be pitched but they do like to answer questions.
4. Sales Training
Something I always ask the auto dealership owners that we work with is what type of training do you put your sales team through? To my surprise most say they don't have any training. This isn't good because when we send good hot leads to the sales people that don't know how to ask good questions and sell these leads are dead.

It doesn't matter how many leads we send if the sales people aren't trained well and can't sell the conversion rates will never go up. It's extremely important to have your sales team trained on a daily bases so they can close deals for you. Do yourself and your company a favour and invest some money in good sales training for your sales team to take part in.

It will help increase your conversion rates, your customer experience and your revenue overall. These are just a few of the many things that we can do to increase your conversion rate and help you close more deals.
